Plastic Balls

Plastic Balls
Someone on another list asked for ideas on how to use those clear, round
>plastic balls that you can fill for Valentine's day instead of
>Christmas. This is what I came up with and thought some of you might be
>interested.
>How bout painting them white
>and then sponge painting them rose over that? Then you could stencil I
>love you, a cupid,etc..on the heart, add a sprig of dried flowers and a
>ribbon hanger at the top . Or you could even use the rub on
>transfers instead of stenciling. If you don't like that one, how about
>decoupaging the ball with bits of floral paper? Don't like that one
>either? How about making Valentine's snowglobes out of them? Fill them
>with distilled water, get I love you and heart metallic confetti(they
>have them at the dollar store here now)and add them then seal the seam
>of the ball with silicone(available at your hardware store). Maybe add
>lace around the outside of the seam. You can either add a hanger, or
>make a base out of a heart shaped, flat piece of styrofoam. Just cut a
>hole in the base so the snowglobe stands up, then cover the base with a
>complimentary fabric.
>Well, that's all I can come up with now..hope you find something you
>like!
