Jeweled Ornaments

>Materials:
>
>Dressy fabric: satin, velvet, silk & matching thread
>Muslin
>A variety of bugle beads, oval costume jewelry stones, seed beads and/or
>costume jewelry
>Decorative gold or satin cord
>Glue gun
>Needle
>Scissors
>Potpourri or fiberfill
>
>Instructions:
>
>Cut the desired pattern in both the dressy fabric and muslin.
>Mark placement of the stones on the dressy fabric.
>Attach the beads with needle and thread and the larger stones or costume
>jewelry with glue.
>With right sides of the beaded fabric and muslin together, stitch back to
>front, leaving a small opening.
>Stuff with potpourri or fiberfill. Stitich the opening closed.
>Glue decorative cord to edges.
>
>If you want to use this as a sachet, sew a pretty cord through the top and
>knot the ends together to make a loop.
>
