Hot Glue Christmas Ornaments
>Crystal Ornaments
>
>Materials:
>- Glue Gun and glue sticks (clear and gold glitter)
>- freezer paper
>- black fine line marker
>- Cardboard
>- Masking tape
>- Dishwashing liquid
>- Gold metallic thread. Sewing needle
>- Purchased gold metallic bows, 1 1/4 across
>
>Instructions:
>
>Place patterns on work surface. Place plastic coated side of freezer paper
>face down on top of patterns. Trace patterns onto freezer paper with black
>marker. Tape traced patterns onto cardboard with plastic coated side face
>up, leaving work space between patterns. With finger, spread a thin coat
>of dishwashing liquid over each traced pattern.
>
>With glue gun outline each pattern on the solid line with the gold glitter
>glue let it dry then fill the inside with the clear glue. Allow glue to
>set firmly; carefully peel ornaments from freezer paper. To remove soap
>residue, gently wash and dry each ornament. Use glue gun to fill in
>ornament, making sure the glue comes in contact with the ornament outline.
>To give the look of crystal, do not completely fill each outline.
>Carefully remove the ornament from water and pat dry.
>
>For each ornament hanger, cut a 4" length from gold metallic thread. Using
>a needle, insert one thread length through top center of each ornament;
>tie ends together in an overhand knot. Glue one purchased gold metallic
>bow on each ornament.
