KUDZU CRAFT FAIR (Girl Scouts)

>Every December, Kudzu Service Unit hosts a craft fair. Tickets are sold for
>a quarter apiece for food and crafts (see list). Each troop operates a
>booth and provides material for roughly 100 sets of their kit. Proceeds go
>to buy gifts for the DFACS foster children that the service unit is
>sponsoring. In addition they sold paper cups of drinks and sandwich bags of
>food (like 2 big cookies) for 1 ticket each.

>PUZZLE PIECE PIN 1 ticket

>Take a piece from a 100 piece puzzle (roughly an inch square)
>Paint it holiday colors (red, green, blue, gold, silver, white) - this was

>the lace up as you go.
>When you are done, twist the pipecleaner closed.

>Each angel takes a whole doily (6 inch) and 2 halves (4 inch), also 2

>Fold each half to form bells (sleeves), then glue sleeves to 6 inch doily,
>then draw face on circle with sharpie and glue to doilies.
>Form halo with 3 inch piece of metallic garland and glue to back of head.
>Glue 6 inch ribbon loop to back of head.
>Finally glue gold wings to back of figure.

>CHRISTMAS MASK 2 tickets

>Half a paper plate is the mask
>Paint with glue and let the children arrange glitter in designs.

>Before the fair, hot glue a large wooden bead (2 inch diameter) to the top
>of each
>pinecone); pre cut lengths of starry garland for halos and paper twist
>(about 6 inches) for wings)
>Each child is given a pinecone and draws a face on the bead.

>Can let children apply decorative dribbles of glue and more glitter
