EASTER EGGS

MATERIALS: Size F hook; scraps of worsted weight (or sport) yarn, fiberfill, yarn
needle.

SIZE: 3 l/2 " long

EGG:

Ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch l, 4 sc in ring.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc. Mark end of rnds.
Rnd 3-7: Working in sc, inc 4 sc evenly spaced around. (28 sc)
Rnd 8-9: Work even.
Rnd 10: Inc 2 sc evenly spaced. (30 sc)
Rnd 11-14: Work even.
Rnd 15: Dec 2 sc evenly spaced. (28 sc)
Rnd 16-17: Dec 4 sc evenly spaced. (20 sc)
Rnd 18: Repeat rnd 15. (18 sc)
Rnd 19: Dec 3 sc evenly spaced. (15 sc) Stuff egg. Dec in next 2 sts, 8 times, fasten
off, weave opening closed.

Work eggs in stripes, or embroider with contrasting yarns in lines of chain st., straight
st, and lazy daisy flowers. Flowers can have French Knot or cross st centers.
