a friend of mine sent me this cute EASY valenntine last
year!
Heart and Hands valentine
Materials:
pretty paper (i think some of the designed scrapbook
paper would work well)
scissors
scrap tightwoven lace
potpouri
ribbon to match the paper
embroidery floss (i would think this is optional)
pencil
fold the paper in half. take your hand and lie it across
the paper closed. trace your closed hand shape onto the
paper. cut out. you now have duplictes- a front and back
of your hand! while the hands are being held together,
cut out a heart shape in the center where the palm would
be. now seperate hands. use a glue stick and glue a
piece of lace over each hands heart. now take the glue
and glue the top part of the hands together, but now
where the lace is just yet, but right up to it. then add
the small amount of the potporui to the heart and finish
glueing shut. at the bottom cut incisions to allow you
to runa pieice of lace thur. cut froma nother piece of
paper a paperheart and glue it to the ribbon! my friend also did a
running stitch of embrodiery floss around her heart. :)
