Section 8(a)
Section 8(a)
- Section 8(a) of the Small business Act authorizes Small Business Administration (SBA) to enter into contracts with other federal agencies to supply needed goods and services. The SBA in turn subcontracts the actual performance of the work to small businesses enrolled in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The goal of the 8(a) Program is to help eligible small firms become independently competitive for contracts.
